Turkeys aren’t just for Christmas at Adlington! Award-winning Label Anglais chicken as well as cooked and smoked turkey and ham are available all year round too. Based in rural Warwickshire, the farm is run by Rod Adlington, whose grandparents established the original Christmas turkey business in 1956. Bird welfare is of the highest standard, proved by the renowned texture and flavour of Adlington’s award-winning meats.
The birds are reared in natural conditions and enjoy plenty of room to run about and no artificial heat or light, which help to develop muscle and fat, giving the meat its succulence. The turkeys are then hung for 12 days, a tradition started by Rod’s grandfather, which makes the meat exquisitely tender, juicy and full of flavour.
