DUNKERTONS CIDER

Dunkertons cider-making history goes back to 1980 when Ivor and Susie Dunkerton decided to swap London life for a small holding in Herefordshire. The couple were awarded organic status in 1988 and, even though the apples come from further afield today, the ciders are still classified as organic.

In 2014, the business was passed down to Ivor and Susie’s son, Julian Dunkerton, and his business partner, Bean. The business relocated to Dowdeswell Park in Cheltenham, and today has a thriving shop, taproom and cidery.

The range of ciders and perries has grown too, with apples from Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire being used to create the Dunkertons range.  This includes the multi-award-winning Black Fox, a blend of 14 apples, to a range of single-variety ciders, all available in bottles or cans.
