HENNEY’S CIDER

Mike Henney started making cider as a hobby in 1996. Back then, he was fermenting five gallons of the stuff in his airing cupboard, but with 25 years of commercial success under his belt, the airing cupboard is no longer in use!

In fact, Henney’s Cider is today produced in collaboration with local service providers, including Wyre Croft Farm at Bishop’s Frome who supply, mill and press the fruit, and Branded Drinks Bottling in the Forest of Dean who provide warehouse and packing services.

The key to Henney’s success is simplicity. The award-winning ciders are available in five varieties – Sweet, Medium, Dry, Vintage and Autumn Gold – and are made from Herefordshire apples, with varieties including Dabinett, Ashton Bitter, Tremlett’s Bitter, Yarlington Mill and Michelin.

Only cider apples are used by Henney’s, which give the ciders their depth of flavour and complex, tannin-filled taste. No sugars are added to the ciders at any stage, allowing the natural flavours to develop naturally.
